The Forum for Injection Technique (FIT) was established following the 3rd International Injection Technique meeting (Athens 2009). Following the inaugural symposium in London, 2010, the international injection technique recommendations were transposed into The First Injection Technique Recommendations for the UK.
FIT is an autonomous organisation whose overarching mission is to support people with diabetes using injectable therapies to achieve the best possible health outcomes that can be influenced by correct injection technique. There are now well over 3 million people in the UK with diabetes and of these almost 1 million use insulin and other injectable therapies.
These online learning modules aim to raise awareness of existing and emerging research relating to injection technique and the impact this may have on health outcomes for those with diabetes who require subcutaneous injection therapy. FIT understands that clinical evidence; recommendations and guidelines are not self-implementing. By completing the modules within this online programme you will be supported to bridge the gap between optimal injection technique, clinical evidence and clinical recommendations & guidelines.
